The children had fun doing puzzles, building sculptures with play dough, reading books, playing dress-up, practicing their shapes and much more. Everyone loved having volunteers from Texas Instruments at Anderson, and we hope to see them again soon!

Texas Instruments at Landauer ChildCareGroup Center

August 29, 2012

Volunteers from Texas Instruments spent the morning at ChildCareGroup’s Landauer early care and school readiness education center.

This energetic group of summer campers from TI’s Young Adults camp deep cleaned the classrooms and playground in preparation for the fall semester. Their hard work saved our teachers countless hours!

Landauer provides a safe, educational and therapeutic environment for at-risk children to stay during the day, while their parents work or attend school. Thanks to this group, Landauer was squeaky clean just in time for our students to arrive!

United Way Day of Caring: TI at Bock

January 25, 2012

A fantastic group from the HR Department at Texas Instruments visited our Bock Child Development Center for a United Way Day of Caring.

Everyone had a great time! The volunteers did snowman crafts with the children, read favorite books and sang silly songs (with hand motions, of course!).  Take a moment to watch the fun-filled slideshow below.

TI & United Way Day of Caring

November 28, 2011

Children at our Landauer Child Development Center were thankful to see volunteers from TI last week!

In honor of Thanksgiving, volunteers assisted children in making (you guessed it) thank you cards. The cards are a gift to their families to say “thank you for caring enough about my education to send me to ChildCareGroup”. After their activity, they played soccer outside with the children, despite the chilly weather, and read some favorite stories. The children had a blast!

United Way Day of Caring & Texas Instruments

June 30, 2011

Volunteers from Texas Instruments came to Anderson ChildCareGroup Center for a United Way Day of Caring project and helped children celebrate Independence Day with a variety of holiday crafts.

Here are a few words of appreciation from our CCG Staff:

“The children really benefited from the 4th of July arts and crafts theme with the TI volunteers.  Each child received a flag to take home as well.  The enthusiasm the volunteers brought to the classroom was awesome and the children enjoyed their visit. Thank you!”
-Lori Carey, Development Generalist & Nutrition Coordinator

“Anderson ChildCareGroup Center children and staff appreciate the time, consideration and enthusiasm that Texas Instrument representatives provided. The children had a great time doing craft projects, and the Texas Instrument representatives even donated books to each classroom!” -Phyllis Smoots, Anderson Center Director
