KPMG & United Way Day of Caring

November 7, 2011

Volunteers from KPMG visited our MLK Child Development Center. We are always happy to see them!

On this trip they did a fall craft with the kids, featuring an autumn favorite: Candy Corn! It is hard not to snack on such a delicious craft, but they managed to get some of the candy on the picture frames. The finished products were adorable!

“I was so happy to spend part of the day with the wonderful volunteers from KPMG,” said Wendy Ogren, V.P of Program Services. “Whether reading Halloween stories, working on a craft project, or playing on the playground, the KPMG group made such a great contribution to the day!  The smiles and hugs from the children let me know that they benefit greatly when these volunteers support our child development centers.  Thanks KPMG!”

United Way Day of Caring & KPMG

October 7, 2011

ChildCareGroup’s Landauer Child Development Center was thrilled to have 21 volunteers from KPMG for a United Way Day of Caring!

While some of the volunteers were busy organizing classrooms, others cleaned out the resource closet, pulled weeds from the garden, painted the office and staff lounge doors, and built the slide structure for the playground. The children were overjoyed to see the new slide and couldn’t wait to try it out!

Without volunteers like these employees from KPMG, we would not be able to provide such nice playground equipment to our children. We sincerely appreciate the time and effort that went into this project!

Last, but certainly not least, here is a message from our children:

THANK YOU KPMG!
