Deadline Extended for Kindergarten Readiness System (KRS)

Good News! The deadline to register for the Kindergarten Readiness System has been extended to July 31, 2012. This extension is designed to ensure all programs have ample time to successfully apply to be a PreK Center of Excellence.

WHAT is Kindergarten Readiness System (KRS)?  
The Kindergarten Readiness System or KRS is a free way to track how the children you teach in PreK are doing when they start Kindergarten.

 

WHY enroll?  
When you take the ~25 min to register only the children that you taught in PreK in 2011-12, you will have the opportunity to become a PreK Center of Excellence and possibly get increased reimbursement rates! You will also receive detailed feedback on the strengths and areas to focus on in your classes.

WHEN?
We will have 2 enrollment sessions going on at the same time, at different locations for each of the dates listed below:

ChildCareGroup Supports CCA Provider Registration with FREE Staff Training Incentive

CCA child care center providers who register in KRS will receive FREE training for preschool staff conducted by the Children’s Learning Institute. This 2 day training event will cover Preschool Early Language and Literacy—emphasizing classroom organization and activities to promote school readiness skills.

Participants will receive a teacher manual and writing center materials.
